11 straight completions for Grothe
In the first quarter, Grothe has already begun to demonstrate his effectiveness at quarterback, completing 11 straight passes for 147 yards and a touchdown.
Grothe has been shredding through the N.C. State secondary, forcing the Pack’s defense to remain on the field for nine minutes and 10 seconds in the first quarter alone. At this point, the offense appears to be the brighter feature for the team.
It begins to rain at Carter-Finley Stadium as the Bulls pull away 21-3.
